Congratulations are in order for Manali Patel, MD, an infectious disease specialist at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. She was awarded the facility’s Golden Stethoscope Award this month!
This semi-annual award recognizes outstanding physicians at Maryview Medical Center who demonstrate excellence in patient care, customer service, communication and teamwork. It is also always announced at the general medical staff meeting.
Dr. Patel was nominated by Dr. Pam Reiser, who wrote these kind words.
“Dr. Manali Patel is a powerhouse and one of our most essential subspecialist/providers at Maryview. She consults on a high number of patients in the hospital at any given time. In addition to her subspeciality in infectious disease, she is an astute internist. At times, she chart-reviews after-hours/over the weekend, despite not being on call, and will provide updated recommendations for our high-risk patients. She also displays great integrity while advocating for patient and provider safety. Lastly, she is very pleasant to work with, is an excellent teacher and wonderful role model for other physicians.”
Congratulations again to Dr. Patel! She joined the Maryview Medical Center staff back in 2010. She has also previously been recognized as a Virginia Top Doc by Coastal Living Magazine.
